ABOUT WAIKERIE EYECARE
Independent eyecare, closer to home.
Waikerie Eyecare is a family-owned independent optometry practice providing personalised, high-quality eyecare for Waikerie and the wider Riverland community.
We combine advanced clinical expertise and technology with genuine local relationships, providing thoughtful, evidence-based care for every stage of life.
OUR APPROACH
Care that feels personal.
We believe good eyecare is built on trust, continuity and taking the time to understand each patient.
As an independent practice, we’re able to provide personalised care tailored to your individual needs, from routine eye examinations and vision correction through to the ongoing management of more complex eye conditions.
By working closely with local ophthalmologists and healthcare providers, we also help our patients access the care they need closer to home.
MEET IMOGEN
Local knowledge. Personalised care.
Imogen Builder is the Owner and Therapeutic Optometrist at Waikerie Eyecare.
Having grown up in Waikerie, Imogen understands the importance of accessible, high-quality healthcare within regional communities. She completed her Master of Optometry at Flinders University in 2017 before gaining experience across rural practice, remote and community eyecare.
Her work has included providing Community Eyecare through Aboriginal Health Services in Barmera, volunteer eyecare in Nepal and a clinical placement at SUNY College of Optometry in New York.
Imogen returned to the Riverland in 2019, bringing her experience home and continuing to build strong relationships with patients and local healthcare providers.
Her particular clinical interests include glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, retinal pathology and dry eye disease.
This retains the substance of Imogen's supplied biography but makes it much more web-friendly.

Our focus is on understanding your individual eye health, explaining things clearly and helping you feel confident in the care you receive.
